It’s very important that parents are kept up to date with their child’s progress and experiences. Verbal feedback is given on a daily basis and parents can also access their child’s learning journey online at any time. 

In the learning journey, adult-led and free play is observed, recorded and evaluated by each child’s key person. This is highly confidential and only accessible by staff and each child’s parents.

Totstop Day Nursery has its own kitchen on site, providing a huge variety of home-cooked, healthy food on a daily basis. Children can have breakfast, lunch and tea with us as well as a morning and afternoon snack.

Everything is freshly cooked, with no processed foods being used. Vegetarian options are provided and we always cater for allergies and any other special dietary requirements.
Menus work on a rotation basis to ensure our children enjoy a variety of different foods.
Staff sit with the children at meal times to encourage good eating habits and table manners as well as to promote eating as a sociable event in our nursery.

Juice and water are available at all times for our children to access.

Our Space

Totstop Day Nursery operates from three main areas in a converted building. It is situated on the Brackmills Industrial Estate in a peaceful cul-de-sac, a short distance from the A45 with close links to the M1 and A43.
We are registered to take 65 children from 3 months to 5 years.

We have two secure enclosed outdoor play areas, which provide plenty of opportunities for physical activities and fresh air.

We have sheets and blankets as well as a dedicated cot room for younger children and babies who require a daytime sleep.
